# User - Alerts Monitoring

Retrieve credit-monitoring alerts triggered when something changes on the user's credit file (new accounts, hard inquiries, address changes, derogatory marks, balance jumps, and more).
**Alert types.** Which alerts a user receives depends on the monitoring features enabled on their host. Beyond standard credit monitoring, a host can enable two standalone subscriptions: **Vantage score change** alerts (`ScoreChangeAlert`, fired when the user's VantageScore changes) and **Telco & utility** alerts (`TelcoUtilityAlert`, fired on telecom/utility account events). Both are delivered through the same endpoints and pipeline as all other alert types.
**Authentication.** User access token. The token's user must match the resource owner.
**Bureau coverage.** Alerts are delivered **through Equifax only** at this time, including the 3B monitoring flags where Equifax monitors all three bureaus.
**Real-time delivery.** Alerts are also delivered server-to-server via webhook, and to the end user via email, SMS, or push (when configured). See [Alerts](/client-spec/products#alerts) for the full delivery matrix.
