# Credit Scores

## Credit Scores
**What it is.** A real-time credit score for a verified user, sourced from any of the three bureaus your host enables. All three bureaus return the **VantageScore 3.0** model (range 300–850), so scores are directly comparable across them. Each call returns the user's current score plus the bureau-grade **score factors** that explain why the score is what it is, and you can pull up to **24 months of history** to plot trends.
**What it's for.** Showing a user their score on a dashboard, tracking score movement over time so you can celebrate wins and proactively warn on drops, and feeding downstream products like Score Up and Optimal Path.
**Configuration options.**
- **Bureau coverage** — we offer scores from **all three bureaus**: Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. Enable any combination per host — one bureau (**1B**), two (**2B**), or all three (**3B**) — and only the bureaus you enable are pulled. We also offer the **Equifax 3B score**, where Equifax alone returns merged tri-bureau data.
- **Partial enrollment** — if one bureau declines a user, the others still complete and the user reads scores from those. A response can carry fewer bureaus than the host enables, so read the `bureaus` array rather than assuming a key is present.
- **Response format** — each bureau returns its score in **its own format**, so a multi-bureau response has one entry per bureau rather than a single merged shape. A **standard CRS format** covering all three is coming soon. The Equifax 1B and 3B responses are unchanged.
- **Refresh cadence** — weekly or monthly, set per host.
